Al-Haya is not only committed to serving the Saudi market through distribution of high-quality pharmaceutical medicines and medical supplies, but, is also a pioneer in local manufacture, being an establishing member of the Saudi Pharmaceutical and Medical Appliances Corporation (SPIMACO) in Qassim and the Pharmaceutical Solutions Industries (PSI) in Jeddah, of which it is still a major shareholder.  This demonstrates Al-Haya’s interest in being a leader in the development and augmentation of the Saudi pharmaceutical industry.

This is clearly manifested in the new Riyadh Pharma factory just completed in cooperation with the Aggad Investment Company (AICO) and other Saudi investors.

This new factory will manufacture a wide range of products, many of which will be under license from large and reputable pharmaceutical companies, with market sales started at the end of 1998.

The factory was built in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to meet the high standards demanded by our international partners and customers.

Its 10,000 square metre production area and large capacity will further improve Al-Haya’s competitive flexibility and bolster its standing in the industry.

Al-Haya has also entered into uncharted investment territory by teaming up with the King Fahd National Guard Hospital’s Anti-Venom Production Centre.  Building a specialized small factory that is the new standard in the production of antivenoms.

The success of this project, which is now in operation and started to market in June 1998, has led the hospital management to ask us to build a pharmacy at the gate of King Fahd National Guard Hospital.

The pharmacy will open in July 1998.  It is one of the best pharmacy in the Kingdom – and demonstratively called the Ideal National Pharmacy.
